Interesting…this kind of reminds me of when all these babies in Brazil were being born with deformed/shrunken heads in 2015/16. It was initially linked to the Zika virus so everyone started freaking out about mosquitos and pregnant women when people in the US started catching it.

My friend in med school at the time was adamant that the small heads were likely caused by WHO/MSF volunteers giving late-term pregnant women certain vaccine(s) that are known to cause birth defects after the 2/3rd trimester. Basically they either didn’t ask the women how far along they were, or maybe the women weren’t exactly sure and the docs decided to vaccinate them anyway. She would shake her head at all the hysteria over Zika.

I did notice after awhile that the only cases of babies born with the deformity were in less developed parts of Brazil and I haven’t heard a single thing about it causing defects again despite there being several outbreaks since.
