Is it okay to take Christian messages from vulgar songs?

1 Corinthians 9:22

"To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some."

Kendrick is a Christian. Some people on here will disregard him because he cusses, but I mean, listen to Good Kid M.A.A.D City. It begins and ends with a prayer after kendrick and the other characters in the story realize they need to change and escape the evil cycle of violence they've been living in.

Kendrick's positive message is mixed with his faith and reaches people it might not otherwise have reached because his music is now in the mainstream in a genre known to glorify all kinds of sinful things (of course I know this isn't all of hip hop, but most popular forms of it are very sexualized and glorify drugs and violence). Yeah he cusses... So? Think about his unique position right now as both one of the more popular and critically acclaimed rappers and a Christian whose faith comes through strongly in his music.

He uses great beats and is a good writer /rapper, so it's not that kind of corny worship music that so many of us dislike. It appeals to everyone regardless of their beliefs because it's good art first and foremost. 1 Corinthians 9:22

He's doing good work.
