This happens to me over and over.

Most recently, it was a person I know who said they had a family emergency and needed to borrow money. They have a good paying job and can afford to pay back. I loaned the money, now they’re not speaking to me any more. Turns out they did not have an emergency, they spent recklessly on luxury items.

That is literally the history of every friendship I’ve ever had but two, and they were both abusive. People have AvPD for a reason.

Not only can I not afford to pay people to be my “friends,” I really don’t feel like I need friends that badly. These people always push themselves on me, I don’t go looking for them.
