One tricking is a bannable offense and also not a bannable offense

It all comes down to whether you think onetrickers who get banned have been guilty of poor teamwork.

And the only real way to do that is to watch every single game they've been reported in and see how much they've actually contributed to the effort on winning.

If you can't play at least two heroes, why are you in comp? You're completely relying on everyone else to flex a team around your weaker pick and you're fucked if you match with another onetrick.

I do agree some of the instances of onetricks is unfair. I'm sure onetricks often get blamed for problems that the entire team shares. But if you have to rely on your entire team working around you, counterpicking for you and pocketing you to actually work, how is that different from being carried?

And before you say "thats just teamwork", its not the same as organic, mutually enthusiastic team work that happens without an off meta onetrick. Combo's like pirate ship complements the entire teams role whereas onetricks force combo's around them by being inflexible, forcing a team to make the worst of a unfavourable situation. Sometimes you'l get a torb onetrick on Attack Junkertown. But the extra pounding you give the defending team doesn't make up for making your team working around you on other maps.

I dont think onetricks are innocent. They are, by definition, stubbornly refusing to pick around their team mates whilst expecting the same from them. All one-tricks in comp are guilty of this, just the off-meta ones more so.
