The original Star Wars movies should be remade.

They SHOULD do a remake... but it should be a WHAT IF:

'What if'.... Anakin/Vader beat Obi on Mustafar.

Anakin has a change of heart after slaying his master. He reunites with Padme just in time to see his kids born.

He raises them as a single Dad but in hiding on some desolate planet (maybe Hoth). They occasionally get visited by their 'Auntie' Ashoka. Eventually the Empire tracks them down using their new apprentice Darth 'Kenobi' (what did you expect). And the rest of the story is a cat and mouse game of love and betrayal - UNTIL Kenobi gets turned back.

We finally get teary eyed seeing Obi and Anakin being buddies as older men. But then of course Luke gets himself kidnapped and Obi is horribly hurt trying to stop Palpatine (who finally bested Yoda on Dagobah).

Then the sequel... the quest to turn Darth Luke, who quickly ousts Palpatine to become the new Emperor, slays his dad... but is then slain by Leia who has to realise; 'Not everybody can be saved'. Ends with old injured Obi revealing 'you can redeem someone... just metaphorically'.
