Orthodox Christian churches are drawing in far-right American converts

It’s not just conservatives. All types of Americans from all sorts of backgrounds are leaving Protestant churches to join the Orthodox Church or Roman Catholic Church because of the deeper more spiritual experience it can offer. People are realizing worshiping Jesus isn’t supposed to be like a rick concert or social club. They feel disconnected and spiritually empty from many protestant churches such as those that preach prosperity gospel or use their church for Trump rallies.

Many people including quite liberal and other otherwise inclusive people are leaving mainline Protestant churches for one of these two because they feel they have gone off the deep end teaching things like men giving birth or hating people based on their race, mainly themselves, while being the least diverse religious group mainly made up of well off liberal white people. They want a church where people of all backgrounds are loved and valued and worship together. The Catholic Church is exactly that and the Orthodox Churches have diverse people from many races all around the world.

It’s a sin bearing false witness which is what this article is. That is not why most people are joining Orthodox Churches.
