After reading the posts here I think the original post is fake. But I have a comment about one of the comments. I hate how people use the word "retard" and "retarded". I have an intellectual disability. I rind it ironic (hopefully I'm using the correct word here) that in a post where parents heard autism and automatically infantalized their son, a commenter criticizing them is doing the same with intellectual disability (or "retard" as they say). Like autism, intellectual disability is on a spectrum too. There is mild, moderate, severe, and profound. I don't function well cognitively. My brain is slow. But I'm not a child like drooling husk like people seem to think "retarded" people are. I'm finally living independently at 31, albeit in disabled housing. I can take care of myself and am an adult. Autism and intellectual disability are commonly comorbid, if I recall correctly. I have been diagnosed with both myself. Anyway, please quit saying "retard" and "retarded".
