Do we get paid to work on Easter?

Sigh. Feel free to do the math. The ONLY situation in which someone is not better with Walgreens system of paying EVERYONE for their average daily hours worked for holidays is people who work literally every single one of them.

And even then, they’re getting the equivalent of 2x pay for the day. Those who don’t work still get 1x for not working.

This idea that a benefit is bad or worse because it involves a holiday and doesn’t come with a $30,000 bonus for working the day. Many companies do it exactly Walgreens way. Many others don’t provide any extra pay/benefit for working holidays at all. Many others still only provide the benefit to those who work on the holiday rather than providing everyone with it, thus making it fairer on those with obligations that make it so they can’t work the holiday.
