Parents refuse use of vaccinated blood in life-saving surgery on baby

Thanks.

My feeling is, after a few years of this, that these folks don't necessarily need mental health interventions (mental health is a definite aspect of it) but more specifically something akin to cult deprogramming.

I had a handful of folks over the pandemic with fear of needles, for example. Some wanted the vaccine but we're scared, some didn't but knew they needed it, but those folks who came in to say "hey, I've got a fear of needles and there's a pandemic going on and I need help," actually worked towards that goal (and got vaccinated!) They wanted to improve the situation.

The reactionary grievance set only wanted to complain and be told they were right. They never moved an inch because they felt righteous and justified in their obstinate behavior.
