Parents threaten to disown granddaughter because of her last name

You have child on the way, your parents should be on the back burner. They already don't love this child based on a name? Great, bye, it's a name thats so petty. Do not involve them in the pregnancy or anything baby related. "What grandchild... you guys dont have a grandchild remember?" My dad was cut out 16 weeks into my pregnancy because he didn't agree with giving my kids their dad's last name. We weren't married and my dad told me my "thug ass baby daddy" will cheat and leave me a single mom, literally because I didn't even want to discuss my last name as an option. That was 8 years ago, my mom and dad never met their only grandkids and im still with my baby daddy. For me having no parents wasn't hard, I prefer my kids to be surrounded by people who love them no matter what, even if that number is small. I'm so sorry your parents already refuse to accept your daughter, but now you need to look out for what's best for HER. Cutting your parents out might be really hard for you, but it might be the best for your daughter.
