Parliament has used its legal powers to seize internal Facebook documents in an extraordinary attempt to hold the US social media giant to account after chief executive Mark Zuckerberg repeatedly refused to answer MPs’ questions.

I think Zuckerberg has shown that he can ignore the UK Parliament. Facebook cannot as long as they have assets in the UK, but that's different than Zuckerberg personally.

Did you read the thread starting article? Parliamentary representative went to his hotel room and said if he didn't comply he'd be arrested. He complied.

So, I'm not sure how you're establishing he's shown he can ignore the UK. He was the one at risk from arrest, not FB. He's the one who complied. He's shown that the UK will arrest him if doesn't comply.

If you're suggesting he can flee the UK and the EU and never return and buy enough lawyers to avoid extradition -- maybe that's possible, but that's not at all what's going on in the facts as we have them. And I'd suggest it would be quite insane for the CEO of one of the world's highest valuation companies to be a fugitive from international justice. But I guess we're in the "lie your way through everything" Trump era so who the fuck knows. Maybe he comes back and insists there's a WITCH HUNT on Twitter.
