The past year of PS+ games, the PS4 games a $50 subscription has given you access to.

I think they should offer a subscription price for online but not offer the games and the discounts - or they should do away with the cost of online like it was on PS3. But it aggravates people too much to try to decide whether they're getting their money's worth on unannounced games every month. Those are meant as bonuses, basically -- but the service is called "Plus" which means "extra", and the need to play online to enjoy many of these titles people like, which are heavy on their multiplayer component, isn't an "extra" or optional, but mandatory. You don't buy Battlefront or Call of Duty and be like "oh, well I'll consider subscribing to the online to play with others" that's the only way you play those games, which are some of the biggest titles this gen. It made more sense last gen as a name ("PS Plus") because the online was free and it was like an exclusive membership service (Nintendo has had their Club since the 80s) that gave you little bonuses and goodies and stuff. Then to win back customers who had switched to Xbox they offered a lot of big name (big budget) games every month, some of the best ones, although they were usually older titles and this Instant Game Collection started in the latter half of the PS3 system's life. Admittedly they quickly gave away a lot of the best games on Vita, though, right from the start. But it still seemed more like a goodwill endeavor by Sony to keep fans loyal and offer them stuff Xbox wasn't doing. Now things have changed there and they ought to have mutliple tiers or options.

It's every month for 2 years now people have complained that they've paid $50 a year and are getting 2D low budget games. They don't understand them as bonus titles to their online subscription or in addition to the PS Store discounts. So as a community playstation fans have to put up with all this complaining. I just kind of wish there was an option where Sony was like "Ok, now we are offering an introductory price for our online service, for $35 a year..." without the additional stuff (games, discounts) etc and then maybe the complaining would go away.
