Pentagon Seeking 100,000 Body Bags For Civilians

So far the number of deaths in US has been following an exponential curve cov19usa not flattening. The flattening will come but that will take at least a few weeks, and by that time you could have 10K+ people dying every day. 100K body bags might not even be enough.

Population of US is 327 million people, and the prediction is that 2/3rd of population will eventually catch this virus, so let's say around 200 million will get exposed and sick with it. The death rate with good health care was reported to be around 3.5%, with hospitals stretched to the brink of their capacity death rates goes up like it happened in Italy to 12% and possibly more (Italy's toll is 13,100 deaths dead per 110,500 cases). So 200 million infected people with death rate around 3-10% is something like 5-20 million dead. Let's hope and pray we won't get to see these numbers. Spanish flu had mortality rate of around 10-20% so this has happened in past, hopefully we're better prepared now that it doesn't have to turn into a tragedy of this magnitude.
