Having been on a mission and read those things (and I do believe most of them are true or at least based in it) I can tell you neither you nor your investigators really need to know. I don’t think I had a single investigator (stateside) my entire mission ask questions like that.

You can go down that rabbit hole with every relationship, every workplace, every family member, and every organization (religious or not), and if you decide to throw out the baby with the bath water you end up alone and unhappy. I think there just needs to be an acknowledgment that saying the bath water is dirty is not antimormon if it’s true. It’s just what are you going to do/how are you going to take it that information now?
