Do people move THIS fast these days or am I just old?

I think that guys especially want to move an online relationship offline ASAP because they are more nonverbal, less likely to be texters, would rather just meet in person to figure out if you click. The asking to be exclusive before ever meeting is super weird, especially because he doesn't ask about you. In my mind that might be his way of trying to make you feel "comfortable" enough to meet him in person

I have to say that I'm coming around to this more, or doing video calls asap, because it's happened to me multiple times that the guy seemed absolutely perfect over text, texted for a week or two, met up, and he was a major douche or clearly was just trying to get me in person and make things physical. The more I date online the less inclined I am to talk for a super long time before. Now I just talk long enough to determine a meet up wouldn't be painfully awkward or skeezy.

Honestly it online dating stinks. It takes a lot of ruling out to find somebody. I can understand not wanting to meet in person with covid, and you definitely deserve someone who respects those wishes and will work with you. I wish you luck!!
