Why do people not understand that having a child is inherently nonconsensual?

I get what you are saying in regards to consent, but it's physically impossible to obtain it. Its a fact of life that you can't choose your parents, where you are born, the religion you will likely inherit from your family/culture and quality of life you are born into. It's almost like a luck lottery.

Personally I had a fairly nice upbringing and am grateful to be alive as well as having the opportunity to experience the world. I've never thought (even in my darkest moments) that my parents having me was wrong because I didn't consent to it.

So I guess I'm trying understand your point a bit more...It's a fact people can't consent to life, but that can't be changed. Is this aimed more at where parents say things like "be grateful I made you" or resent you for preventing them from doing things and being in the way?
