People have talked a lot about reducing ability bloat in Stormblood - which particular abilities would you like to see merged?

for healers:

Mend and Maim increases Stone and Malefic's potency and changes the animation, in addition to changing Ruin to Broil at M&MIII (we really don't need these spells that are straight upgrades, it is just annoying when synching down)

Stone I changed to Water (to keep WHM's heavy effect, the intent being that Earth = DD, Air = DoT, Water = CC), in addition, Repose is changed to Serenity (aesthetic change to keep water spells new theme)

Cleric Stance removed, all damaging WHM/SCH abilities now scale with Mind (yes, it lowers the skill requirement, but "I don't want to DPS because badness may happen in cleric's stance!" will stop being a valid argument for those who refuse to DPS)

Invert Arcana added to AST, under Invert: Benefic becomes Malefic, Benefic II becomes Gravity, Aspected Benefic becomes Stella, Helios becomes Combustion, and Aspected Helios becomes Combustion II (to keep the tarot and celestial theme, lorewise you would draw aether from the gods hells rather than the heavens, functionally it would act identically to CS but with no cooldown to maintain the flavor that AST is the "stance healer" (and to appease those who would undoubtedly be upset by the removal of CS from WHM and SCH))

AST are now assumed to be in Diurnal by default, Diurnal Sect ability removed, Nocturnal Sect acts as a toggle akin to CS (just removes button bloat, why we have a "no sect" option at all is just dumb)

and for SMN, since they are inseperable from healers: Ruin becomes Ruin III and Dreadwyrm Trance becomes Deathflare when under Dreadwyrm Trance
