People who have been in a coma, what was your perception of time while in it?

My dad lost his functions and was in a coma for over a month (He had a brain haemorrhage). He couldn't walk or open his eyes or sit up or eat the end, at first he just lay there and it looked like he was asleep. He later opened his eyes and used to look around but couldn't say a word. I was just 12 years old and hardly got a chance to see him as he was in the ICU and they don't let kids below 18 inside. Only one person would get a chance to see him once a day for an hour, and I would wait for them to come tell me what happened. They would say he is understanding what's happening around, and used to blink his eyes sometimes to say yes. I only got to see him once on his way from the ICU for a MRI scan and got 3 minutes in a lift. He just looked around and then at me, I was in tears and I held his hand and told him he is doing fine and I can't wait for him to come back home and be with us, tears rolled out his left eye. He couldn't talk or move, but I know he heard me. I also know he tried to say something, because he made sounds and something oozed out from his mouth, I know he was trying. And then time was up, they took him in for the scan and I stood there watching, helpless and unable to control myself from crying. I never knew those 3 minutes would be the last I'd get to see him or last words I say to him as he passed away 2 days later.
