Debate flares after black college students seek a non-white roommate

Where have you been the past couple of months?

/r/blackladies is one of the more racist subs on Reddit but no one would dare mention it above a whisper because of the vitriol you would recieve.(The weird part is /r/blackfellas is nothing like that at all. They seem to just genuinely want a place to speak with others of their culture... while /r/blackladies wants to speak down about all other cultures... mostly white people though.) They have had numerous threads about "dating outside your race" and it seems about half of the users there believe there is something wrong with it. I've seen them getting legitimately upset with others for dating outside their race.

If you think the only kind of racism on Reddit is white vs others you haven't looked around much. That sub is as hostile to non-PoC as some of the white supremacy subs are about PoC.

Now I'm not trying to call them out as the only ones, or even say that the majority of their users feel that way, but it doesn't take long in the comments sections to notice a large chunk genuinely hate whites for no other reason than they are white.... and they don't see the irony.
