I dated one European out of a large group of them in my area, so this includes many of them)

• You're obligated, expected to chip in on group events -- nothing is free, they're not generous even if you are (there's no kind generous reciprocity, absolutely none)
• I MUST pay for gas when riding with them even though they invited me to ride with them, they never offer gas money when they ride with me and frowned when I asked.
• Their country is the greatest country in the known universe.
• Our water is the worst water they've ever encountered and their water is the best water in the known universe.
• Their internet is the best internet in the galaxy.
• Saving money is the most god-like thing one can do and if you spend a little to have fun, you're guaranteed a one-way ticket to the 9th gate of hell.

Other than the above, which are veiled complaints about their complaints, there wasn't really anything different other than she and they had significantly different outlooks on life than I. We weren't compatible.
