To the people who didn't vote but are in the streets protesting tonight ...

If the people who are protesting and complaining on Facebook - that did not vote - had actually taken the time to cast a vote, they might not be protesting and complaining right now. I find it hard to believe that if Hillary had won the same group of non-voters would have taken to the streets.

The people who didn't vote could have contributed to a more favorable outcome, but they chose not to. If you truly care about changing the system then you have to put the person most capable of doing that in office, or at least the person who is most likely to listen to your protests.

To wrap this up once and for all, change does not come from a couple of protests. Even if you don't like the presidential candidates you should be voting for the representatives that you hope will stand up for you in Congress. We get to choose the people in 2 of 3 branches of government. Not participating because you're butt hurt that your perfect candidate is not there is not an excuse. If you really care about change and you really care about seeing the system fixed, then you go out and try to give yourself the best shot by at least voting for people. That's the easiest way to influence politics and if it doesn't work out and you want to protest then go ahead, but at least you cared enough in the first place to get out there and vote.
