people who grew up rich but turned out poor what is your story?

My dad works in financial services, he's a very grounded individual who doesn't particularly like to spend money unnecessarily, so I didn't really grasp until my late teens that my family were better off than 99% of the population financially.

I've just had severe problems with mental health issues, dropped out of university due to depression and anxiety into the middle of the 2008 crash, was unemployed for a while but managed to find work stacking shelves in a supermarket on the nightshift. It's all I've ever done and I think in part to cope with it I just allowed any vision of a better future to wither away and die. I spent the last few years completing a degree with the Open University, did well, quit my job and went to start a masters degree at a good UK university but again withdrew due to anxiety/depression. I think I'll end up stacking shelves again reasonably soon. It's just personal weakness really, my own complete inability to take advantage of any of the many privileges I was born into.
