People who had considered themselves "incels" (involuntary celibates) but have since had sex, how do you feel looking back at your previous self?

I am in middle age and have a much younger acquaintance. Great woman in her early twenties. Struggles a lot but I guess we all do at that age. I have faith that she sees it through

A few years back she spent like 6 weeks on a tropical island. The pics I saw were like paradise, and it really seemed to help her.

About a week or so back she is on her phone when we are together and show me insta or facebook pics of her friend who is in mexico, expressing great jealousy.

I said you just got back from the South Pacific, didn't you? She knew her first jealous reaction was weird but was also self aware enough to bring up that it was one of the effects of everyone putiing their curated best selves out there on social media. While she is sort of addicted to her phone, she said she thinks that social media's primary function is to make you feel dissatisfied 24/7.
