I don't have any single story, just some general things. Public bathrooms are disgustingly revolting in China. Squat toilets are the standard, but it's not uncommon to see children and sometimes adults just do their business in the street. And it smells like shit EVERYWHERE you go, from small towns to large cities...it's inescapable. Vietnam has the same problem, but that's mostly because there are sooo many stray, feral dogs everywhere. Though they usually get captured and cooked and eaten.
