What would it take to heal the divide between Democrats and Republicans in the US?

It's not really "democrat vs republican" its more of a "we the people vs the corrupt establishment". Everyone is being forced into a side and pitted against each other over trivial issues that have been blown out of proportion. Go out in person and talk to real Republicans and Democrats, you'll find out both sides aren't near as bad as the TV is telling you they are. I've met plenty of people on both sides who just want to see this country prosper, and while we have our differences we all agree on the fact that this country has a lot of corruption in it that must be dealt with. I believe the only way for the divide to stop is for the people to realize there is a lot of rich people, corporations, and politicians fanning the flames from underneath the peoples feet. When the people stop fighting each other and go after the real problem in this country, then the divide will be healed
