I want you to look at this photo and never forget how many of the Sanders delegates rudely disrupted this civil rights icon's speech at the Democratic National Convention. That is how they "berned the DNC". Their favorite word -- shame.

most of the 80000 people I represented didn't want me to be a pawn of the Democratic party and just sit down and shut up and do what I was told

I was a HRC delegate in 2008 (not at the national level though) and I do understand the disappointment you describe. I empathize, even. But it's my understanding that delegates are committed to represent the people of their home state by voting for their chosen candidate (in your case, Bernie) - not necessarily by walking out, protesting, etc. Watching a few loud Bernie delegates shout "NO TPP" over Rep. Elijah Cummings's speech about civil rights, progress, and the values instilled in him by his father (who was a former sharecropper)? I found it pretty upsetting tbh, and I believe that Bernie himself was upset by those particular interruptions too.

I guess I don't understand why being "Bernie or Bust" in this case wasn't just limited to casting your vote for Bernie and nobody else (as was your right). But heckling Elijah Cummings? Interrupting John Lewis? Chanting "Bernie! Bernie!" during the invocation (which was led by a minister who happened to be a Black woman)? Just... why?

The only Sanders stuff you hear about anymore is his followers continuing the movement by running for positions themselves

If only this were true for me! Maybe it's because I live in WA, near a university, but I still hear a lot of shit from #StillSanders people I know irl... mainly sentiments about how Bernie would be beating Trump by a wider margin than Hillary is, and that southern Democrats and/or a rigged system are to blame. It gets old
