Planning a trip to an Asian city or Athens. Help us decide.

Can’t type much now but I’ve been to both. IMO, Athens is great for 2-3 days but that’s it. I ended up renting a car with a friend a road tripping about Greece for 10 days. That was great. Need a GPS though. Roadways were tough to navigate with out it.

Tokyo is fantastic and can fit a lot of different personal interests. Can do a week here easy BUT it’s expensive. I was lucky enough to stay at a friends house but even then, I thought it was expensive. Public transport is convenient but has a bit of a learning curve. I would love to go back a third time but I’ll probably do Kyoto before that. Another good option, that is.

I lived in Seoul for 5 years. Seoul has lots of interesting places to see and Korean food is great. Not as popular as Tokyo though. Public transport is cheap, easy, fast and convenient.

Consider Hong Kong. Also a great experience and they skyline is amazing at night if you’re downtown on Central or in TST.

I can list a few more places I’ve been to, if you’re curious. I’m trying not to be too snobbish sounding but I’ve lived in East Asia for the last 10 years and so maybe I could help. Have traveled to a lot of places and would love to share.
