PlayStation Skipping E3 For First Time in Show’s 24-Year History

and? Whats your point? Games back then were shit yes but they weern't anti consumer. They were designed to make you addicted. there was no loot box gambling or day one dlc bullshit.

You got the game, the whole game, despite what you feel its quality was, and if you liked it you played it if you didn't your younger sibling played it. And those game had built in cheat codes and new game plus modes and unlockable cosmetics all in the base game. Now? Games are torn apart and sold piece meal. Or sold unfinished with the promise of getting more later if you pony up more cash.

Explain to me how this is better than before? Tell me how rose coloured my nostalgia goggles are. The great games of today are only seem so amazing because of the ocean of unplayable shit they float on. Before I could take a chance on a game i never heard of before and rent it for the weekend. Usually they were alright. Not mind blowing but worth the two bucks you paid for the rental. Games like Glover and Stunt Race, or Medieval, Abes Oddworld, Earth Worm Jim. Shit like that. Where can you just try out games now a days? No where. If your lucky there will be a demo, but those are as rare as ever these days. The Golden Age is gone and past.
