Ok so I’m a relative NFL newbie, and also biased as a Steelers fan. Can I run down that play?

Ball passed to James. Knee down, but no Patriots player makes contact, so play is still live. James extends towards the line. Does that not prove control and a completed catch? In which case if he does lose control it’s a fumble and he recovers it, so touchdown. Which assumes he did lose control. On that point, call was a touchdown, so burden of proof is on the refs to find hard evidence it wasn’t. Obviously I’m biased, but to me that isn’t hard evidence.

Anybody more knowledgeable want to point out if and where I’ve gone wrong?
