Predictions for 2018

It will be revealed a financial institution will have been exposed of malpractice to it's customers, followed by white-hot outrage from the general public and political figures. There will be no significant (if any) compensation for the consumers affected, and political figures will protect the financial institution from significant legal or financial accountability.


A police brutality case will be a significant story in 2018. The victim will being unarmed and compliant. The officers will get acquitted on all charges and say something along the lines of:

"I was in a scary environment dealing with a dangerous suspect and took appropriate actions considering the circumstances"


The increase in pricing of products/services in medical field will continue to surge. Trump will respond to this by stating that controlling the price of medical care it will be detrimental to the free market.


Student debt & rates of tuition continue to increase. At the same time wages/budgets for sport coaches/programs at universities will continue to rise disproportionally.


Spending in the military budget will continue to rise, while the budget of science research, aerospace, and medical facilities will decline.


Talk of increasing workers rights will be shot down by a public tweet by Trump saying that it is detrimental to a free market society.


A mass shooting will take place at a political rally or protest, the shooter will be a person whom is an alt-right white male with brown eyes in his mid 20's to early 30's. The shooter will die in the process by suicide and it will be a breaking news national story.
