Premier pay=premier service...or else.

Sure but does whining or complaining really make you feel better? Really? Why not try being present physically but just joking however possible to at least enjoy each other. If the deli was burning down and nothing more I could do than I was doing with call outs on a sunday, I just decided to go extra hard on joking and buying donuts or something if I had time. Making sure everyone felt heard, got breaks, and knew that they were appreciated. Generally it lightened up the mood and by closing we would be blasting music and singing along and complaints would be turned into jokes about kicking a shitty customers ass in funny ways...or anything to shake off the stress.
