Any rumblings about the “ team leader “ spots being removed? Heard that information through the grapevine..

You shouldn't be leveling while you're in cs hours, and you shouldn't cashier while in grocery hours(technically speaking) but I always see it go both ways. At my store cs and grocery operate in sync- but my point is that if you're scheduled under those hours you're technically a grocery clerk at that time. So yeah, you might have to stay late, but grocery is paying the extra hours. I just hear people complain about it a lot but I don't think they realize how much less staffed they'd be at peak hours if they didn't have that cushion of extra hours to fall back on at night. (Like, you'd be schedule 2-8 instead of 2-11, and there would only be 4 people not 6 bc no cushion ) oasis sucks but if used in harmony it benefits multiple departments staff. At the end of the day grocery and cs are always gonna operate "old school" even if corporate is trying to push that out- we're the main parts of the store- and stocking register candy / coolers etc really is a level of "shelf service/ customer service"

And cs is always going to be pushed to pick up customer facing roles in produce, Bakery etc when needed, and grocery is always going to be picking up the fresh depts "back of house" (trucks, messes, coolers)

Not always, but I'm sure more people agree with me than less. It's just part of Publix culture.
