President-elect Trump feels the need to insult civil rights hero Rep. John Lewis on Twitter? Sad

I really don't understand how someone can come to such a one-sided conclusion on this story.

What John Lewis said was insulting and dangerous - Hillary Clinton was completely right when she said it was 'horrifying' that Trump wouldn't unequivocally accept the results of the election.

No matter how Russia or Comey or Billy Bush influenced people's votes - the people did vote, the ballots were not rigged, and under our Constitutional Electoral College system, Donald Trump won.

So what Lewis said is every bit as 'horrifying' to me as Trump insinuating he might not accept the results.

I'm not sure why people are saying Trump shouldn't be pushing back on Lewis because of his Civil Rights record - Lewis is a current, sitting Senator who made a dangerous and politically charged comment about Trump.

Why should he be off limits? Why should McCain have been off limits because he's a war hero?

I'm not saying Trump's responses weren't childish or dumb - but why are people saying that he shouldn't be disrespecting other politicians when they attack him first?
