I agree that other parties do a lot of the same things I'm describing, but that's essentially just whataboutism. I just have little to no confidence that this government has any real solutions other than divide and conquer and line their own pockets. They say they want immigrants with words and do the opposite with actions. They say they want to grow the GDP while likely harming it more. The Republicans are all about austerity at a state AND national level. Big spending for their wealthy supporters and cutting anything for the general population. Sound familiar? It's a common game across the political spectrum, granted, but particularly distilled I'm the GOP and now here under the provincial Liberals. Corruption of the institutions towards private power are what governments do and when given a free hand, they play it.
