Public forum over the summer!

VBI is a wonderful option from what I've heard and would definitely be an enriching experience that could prep you for a successful last hurrah as a senior.

With that being said, if you really want to be serious about debate and get the most bang for your buck (personal opinion) I would highly recommend going to NDF (probably the Boston location just to be safe).

Regardless of what level of lab you get assigned to it's extremely comprehensive and (as intuitive as it sounds) debate-heavy, and already has a top-tier staff that's bound to get even better after the last waves of invitations are sent after and TOC and accepted by more First-Year and Second-Year out debaters who have done remarkably well.

I went as a rising senior with my rising junior partner and we both learned a bunch this summer. It also happened to be arguably the two most enriching and fun weeks I've had in recent years. I met a lot of great friends, scored some awesome trading partners I still keep in contact with, and just became a much better debater over the course of a couple of weeks.

To Address Your Concern of Other Commitments: I was able to start working on college apps (applied to 20 schools) and do a 5 week internship while still going. In terms of college apps, if you really want to get a head start on boosting your chance of admission to schools and improve your chances to do some damage on the circuit year, TRUST ME YOU CAN, it's all about TIME MANAGEMENT.

If you are truly willing to pay for and go to camp, and since it's your last year and you've clearly indicated that you are serious about debate go to NDF....or VBI, which is also dank. :P
