Men's sexual status is rarely decreased by sexual partner count ( save for possible std ). This is due to the skill and effort for man to get laid often. A man who can get laid easily is usually a very desirable kind of man.

Sexual prowess of women really isn't that respected because most people know how easy it would be for a woman to get laid if she wanted to. Being a good lay though is great. That said, many women want to be more than a good fuck. Commitment however takes effort though. Most men often weigh the effort of commitment compared to what they want. If a woman will give out sex very easily to a lot of men, that will satisfy a man, but will also make them think that the effort for the rest of the commitment is not really worth the trouble. Sex tends to satisfy a lot of a man's needs in a relationship.

So why is having a lot of sexual partners bad for women? Imagine a woman who has fucked 100 men easily and left them incredibly satisfied. But she realizes that most of them are not willing to put in the effort for a commitment because they are so satisfied by just sex. Imagine how the 101st man will feel when he is told, i'm not going to give sex to you as easily as I've given the 100 men before you.

You might feel a bit concerned as that 101st man. "Why do I have to do so much more than the men before me?". The women's demands of course are completely hers and rightly rational. But the feeling is akin to a hamburger restaurant that charged a hundred people before you a dollar, then charged you 5 dollars. You might think you are being given a cheap hamburger at a high price.

Compare the hamburger shop to the one that sells only 6 dollar hamburgers. Not many people go to that hamburger shop because the cost, but a few people have. It must be worth the cost if a few people invested 6 dollars in, and if you pay 6 dollars, you feel that you got a fair deal as everyone else.
