I think it would be disrepectful for a married woman to go to a bar or club without her husband's prior consent. That is one of the small ways she shows respect for her husband.

When my sister turned 30, she wanted me and a few of her friends to go out for dinner to celebrate. My husband was okay with this.

But after dinner she and her friends decided spur of the moment that they wanted to go to a local bar drinking and wanted me to be the DD. I told her I could not go without running it by my husband first. She eye-rolled but I placed the call to him.

In short, he said okay so I went and sat in the boring section and waited for her to finish drinking.
