questions about myself and my interactions with the occult world

i participate in ghost hunting

Ok this will be a little ranty, sorry! I'll do another post that isn't just me ranting about ghost hunting :-)

I've done this a few times with a couple teams. It was almost always horrible. I mean seriously when someone who claims flat out to be a supernatural entity (me) is the only one in the group that considers a degree of skepticism to be important, something is wrong.

My biggest problem was that members of the group would usually act as they they "knew" how spirits behave. "Ghosts like to hang out in the corners" or "ghosts prefer green lights to blue lights" or whatnot. That kind of stuff just made me angry lol

My second biggest problem was that really they just wanted to play with their expensive ghost hunting toys. I tried showing them how to use inexpensive thermal mats, magnetic film, and how to use a cheap AM radio to locate EMF fields in the house - and how to document those fields around wiring in the walls and things before you get started. They wanted none of that. It was all expensive crappy EMF things with blinking lights that needed kind of ridiculous fields to even register - and even if something did register there was no way to even hope to know what it was.

In short - anything resembling science was out the window before we even started. Every time. No matter how I approached it - and I'm someone who is generally very good at working in a team.

Oh yeah then at the end they would always do like some kind of prayer or something about the spirits not coming back home with them... I was like "ummm I don't want to say this! This is kind of part of what I do spiritually - if they want to hitch a ride with me I'll take them wherever they want to go, they are more than welcome! Don't make me say some crap that makes it sound like I'm scared of them or don't want them!"

Ok sorry hahaha this has just been bugging me for a while.
