Ok I've seen basically so much wrong information in this comment chain it was melting my brain, but you, you said something just so stupid it shows how you know basically nothing about this area of the law, and the way lawyers in this field make money, that I had to say something to inject a ray of intelligence into this dumpster fire of fools.

When you are an attorney and prevail in wage cases in the US, you get triple fees and costs paid by the employer. They do this because otherwise no attorney is taking a case for $338. This fees shifting and penalty are done to discourage employers from doing this kind of shit, because it can cost them an exorbitant amount of money.
