/r/WorldNews Live Thread: Russian Invasion of Ukraine Day 4, Part 6 (Thread #49)

Ok, first I understand about the armor and the cover. My point was to move forward of the armor and in cover not right out in the middle of the street when you had multiple houses on each side moving forward. Each unit I would suspect would be watching each others flanks as they move forward to make sure its safe to advance. They weren't really even doing that however. All they were doing was moving in tandem with the armor covering angles but they were sitting ducks for any ambush that would happen. At least if they were moving from cover to cover leapfrogging each other then brining the armor forward as support it would have been safer. As I said never served at all, and I did make the statement about video games specifically because I never did so I didn't want to misrepresent my knowledge of this. It just seemed like a bad idea to just sit in the middle of the street like that when you really don't have a specific goal other then to gather intelligence.
