There was a guy who I worked with back in the 80's who was probably crazy but not as bad as this guy. His nickname was "Chainsaw Jack." The company provided engineering services to the US Navy and he was very good at what he did and his COTAR apparently needed him. He would pace in a circle in his office in front of his desk so much there was a circular track worn in his rug. He would also go out into the parking lot and lay on the narrow grassy strip between the cars. He would walk around fast with his head down glaring angrily. He was fired by his boss for his odd behavior and unexplained absences but he kept coming in to the office and working so his boss eventually rescinded the dismissal partly because of the customer's claim that he was indispensable.
