What boggles me is that 45 got away with so much…

I hear so many people say this. However, it's so utterly wrong regardless if you hate him or love him.

Imagine if you had the full force and weight of the United States Department of Justice, with unlimited resources, go over every deed of your life, that you'd over done. Consider that they kept at this and we're highly biased to find something, ANYTHING to bury you on. This is no "innocent until proven guilty", this was "find dirt on him, NOW!". After 4 full years of investigation, they didn't find anything notable or worth it.

He was the most hated man alive during that period with the entire government (e.g. IRS, DOJ, congress) using every single tool at their disposal to try to find SOMETHING to take him down.

Then, you have people saying he "got away" with things? No way. That government was salivating with snarling teeth to find even the smallest thing and they found nothing.

You can't sell me on "they let him get away" with anything. If he was prosecutable, he would've been prosecuted.
