Our office had a merger with another office. That office brought over a legal assistant who is legitimately the absolute most worthless employee I have ever worked with. This person is so absolutely incompetent that they have difficulty sending packages properly, opening mail, doing the dishes, I'm talking quite literally every single possible job a legal assistant or administrative assistant or any kind of office worker could do, this person was totally fucking worthless.

They are supposed to be the first person here every day, but they are routinely late by 30 - 45 minutes. They are never in their desk, they take multiple extra breaks, they use the company phone for personal calls, use their cell phone at their desk (the front desk), their lunch usually starts at noon and extends until about two thirty, and they leave fifteen to thirty minutes early every single day.

And yet.

They are our highest paid "legal assistant," and they continue to have a job, despite constant complaints and constant evidence flowing to HR about how absolutely worthless this person is.

We have no fucking clue.
