Redditors of Saint Louis, I'm looking for college aged students interested in geospatial intelligence for a hackathon! Interested? Leave any questions/comments in this thread.

I do apologize about my wording. It has clearly lead to some misperceptions, which can be critical from a public relations/political standpoint. With that, many of our hires are people just as you've described here. However, as I said before, this is not a job fair/hiring event. It is a student event geared towards "traditional age" college students (18-24). Now, i believe i was misinterpreted due to the fact that I mention both career opportunities and the event hand in hand. While the are relevant to one another, they are seperate entities within the setting of the hackathon. On one hand, there is the student hackathon, for students aged 18-24. Meanwhile, on the other hand, being at the event, whether you are a competitor, or someone simply interested in a job with the company/geospatial intelligence as a career, attending this event is a door opening opportunity. The hackathon is the main event, no doubt. Not only are there the prizes for top competitors, it showcases the potential of said competitors, and that can be something we base our choices of new hires upon. There is no age discrimination, we are simply hosting an event for traditional aged students, which in turn, for those who show potential, may heighten the chances of us considering those students for hire. We have representatives from our company, as well and NGA and other contractors who are here to talk to not only student competitors, but anyone who stops by for information. To reiterate, the main competition is the only thing age restricted. To attend the event, anyone is welcome, regardless of age or background.

Again, further questions/comments/complaints, I'll be here to respond.
