Redditors who have done Salvia: What was your trip(s) like?

Ahh... I do have stories that I wanted to tell for a long time. Hope I'm not too late to this party.

I've done Salvia three times.

Background:

I learned about Salvia when I was in high school. I was friend with this girl who had a very sketchy background. Both of her siblings were at least a decade older than her and heavily into meth, crack, alcohol, and cocaine. They both had children and continued to use these as a daily habit. They introduced Salvia to her. She told me about it and the way she described to me doesn't even make sense at all. I was curious anyway.

There was (number)X strength of Salvia. 5X was weak. 10X was stronger, and so on. The store I bought it from had it up to 300X. I bought 50X and it was expensive as hell. It was probably like 70 bucks for a gram. All I knew about it was to smoke an entire bowl in one breath and hold it in for as long as you can. I also knew it would kick in fast.

First experience:

I did it in the backyard deck at my mom's house when she was sleeping. I sucked the motherfuck out of it. As I held it in, I was holding the handle to the back sliding door. Then I blew it out and opened the door.

The first step I took inside, the gravity shifted to my right. It was like the whole kitchen flipped over to the right Inception-styled and I was running on the ground trying to get my footing on the wall on my left. My vision became something like masterpiece of painting. Picasso, monet, Dali, you name it. It was like I was hopping through a spinning hallway from a frame of painting to another.

I realized my brother was in my sight. I ran to him. Then it became a blur. I ended up crashing into the couch in the living room. My entire vision melted into a haunting red cave. It was like descending into hell.

Then it stopped. In total, it was just about 10 minutes. My younger brother saw the whole thing. He said I stepped inside the house reeking of incense and stopped all of sudden. He couldn't believe how profusely I began to sweat in an instant. Then I planted my left foot on the left wall for few minutes before sprinting to the couch to lay drooling for a while more.

Second experience:

I was more cautious and did it with a friend. I didn't held it in for that long.

For maybe 5 minutes, I melted into the bed and became a desert. A hill. My shoulders and head were the mountaintop and my belly was a long, flat, and barren desert. Then there was a train choo-chooing across my stomach. It ended.

I went into the bathroom to splash my face with water when my friend took a hit. He came sprinting to the bathroom's door frame and held his hands outstretched on both side for few minutes. I had no idea what the hell to do. When he settled down, he told me that everything disappeared into the abyss and he jumped to reach for the hole that was the bathroom. He said he held onto the door frame because he if he let go, he'd fell deep into a dark abyss.

Third experience (and absolutely the last):

I got into a stupid pissing contest with a pothead friend (let's call him Max) in college. He and I had a disagreement on who can hold smoke the longest in our lungs. He had asthma so I was very sure I could out-do him. Very stupid ego contest.

He'd never had done Salvia. I told him a lot about it. Then another friend - let's call him Steve - got Salvia. Steve, Max, and I agreed to take it together... in a crowd of people... with a fancyass roor bong. I, previously, only have done it with a pipe. Steve had an... experience with taking a huge hit of Salvia and was reluctant to do it again. So he took the first hit. Nothing seemed out of ordinary. He seemed zoned out for a couple of minutes. Then he came back and explained the ohh TRIPPYYYY experience.

Max took the next hit. He felt nothing. Of course that asshole wouldn't feel anything. He can't hold anything in for a shit. It was my turn. Time to show a real hit. I smoked an entire bowl of salvia with a $500 bucks roor bong.

Insta-black out.

The next thing I could remember was floating as an atom millions of light years away. I saw this gif earlier today. Imagine being at the very end of that gif. And, not just waking up there, you don't even know what you are - let alone who you are. I remember experiencing the whole thing in the galaxy as an observing atom. Then the sights began to collapsing all of the way into the milky way, our solar system, earth, and to me.

I woke up and had a full Jason Bourne experience. I had no idea who I was. Hell, I even spent the first 10 minutes without realizing I was a human being. The thing that led me to realize I was a human experience was that I noticed my watch as I laid on the cold tiled bathroom floor. After a while, I recognized my watch. I received that watch as a high school graduation gift. After the longest time, I slowly put together the memory of the graduation... the state I was from (college was in different state)... the people with me at the graduation... my friends... memories... my family... then my name.... then the recollection what I looked like... who I was before high school... my extended family... then my whole life. Finally, I made the connection that I was away at college and just did Salvia with the friends. It took me a while to be able to stand up. When I did, I had to check the mirror to be sure that I was the correct person.

I rejoined my friends outside of the bathroom. They all looked at me in awe. They asked me if was alright. They told me that it knocked me out hold and I had what looked like a seizure. They held my body in place and brought me to the bathroom and held me down for a while. Eventually, my body stopped moving and they left me. I was out for almost 3 hours.

I have done LSD before. Those are amongst some of the most beautiful experiences in my life. Salvia - 100% not recommended. I'm terrified of it.
