Redditors who grew up in small towns, what was "the incident"?

On my block was a not so good egg, to put it nicely. There were more than one incidents involving the kid but this one was the worst by far.

This was like- last year. This 18 year old, autistic, orphan was kicked out of child services because he turned 18. He was on the streets basically. This kid had a backpack with a few things in it, including the only picture he had of his deceased parents. Well this kid decided to jump him with some of his buddies and tried to steal his backpack. Poor kid tried to fight back but couldn't cause there were multiple people (it was mainly the bad egg beating him, others were just recording). He had his backpack stolen, along with everything in it- AND HAD TO GET PLATES PUT IN HIS FACE FROM THE INJURIES. What happened to the bad egg? Oh he was just put on house arrest. Fuck our judicial system.
