In reference to the recent post by u/arasark that is locked, same text, but in article format with the title, "Armenians outside the fatherland are only “half” Armenian."

Never criticize huh? Okay. This is okay, then ... So is this ... Nope, I'm okay...Try and digest this one, he became vegetarian because of Hitler.

I will criticize a nazi at any turn. I criticized him openly on facebook and I've been collecting the "you're a gay Jew" comments ever since.

I was raised by my parents to do more than those around me and to likewise expect more from those around me -- because I am Armenian and because they were Armenian. It's your perspective, this idea that when someone becomes hayrenaser we must be silent and nod, that dooms a place like Armenia, where no one is willing to be self-reflective and deliver critique of their fellow citizens because "the Turks are out there and we're Armenians." Armenia is not in need of any bodies. Armenia is in need of responsible citizens, and this guy is garbage -- they have enough of that to fill an entire government already.

If you think this is about "half" Armenians you must be delusional. The asshole is advocating for the extermination of a people the same way the Young Turks argued for the extermination of yours.

I do not hate Hitler because he said "who now remembers the Armenians." I hate Hitler and those who support his cause because they nearly exterminated a race of people, the disabled, and homosexuals. If Hitler had said "I love the Armenians, and will build a greater Armenia" -- none of that would change. Hayrenaserutun does not somehow excuse the evils of an individual. To think it does is to buy into the strain of nationalism that saw Jews and Armenians being cleansed.

This self absorbed Armenocentric perspective that drives people to tribal views of solidarity with assholes like this is frightening, and I would have hoped that the Armenian nation had advanced past it given its suffering at the hands of similar ideologies.

An Armenian Nazi. The dumbest thing I've ever heard. He might as well spit on the martyrs of 1915.
