Richest 1% Will Own More Than All The Rest By 2016

this is one of my least favourite forms of argument, you're assuming so much it's simply ridiculous - you've got no idea who reads this sub or how dedicated they are to the things they do, you're literally basing your grandiose statements on nothing but your preconceptions.

Either you've never done anything at all with your life and despite the endless evidence to the contrary find it impossible to believe anyone else has or you've made some absolutely bizarre and illogical assumption that things never change - Which is especially weird when you consider it's almost certain the nation you live in has revolution and social change at the core of it's history, because all nations do -even England.

The fact is many of the people here are likely deeply involved in the ongoing struggle for a better world, others likely will become so at some point in their life - however even for those that never become activists, organises or any form of revolutionary it's still vital that they understand and engage in the world around them, that they understand how their everyday choices are effected by and effect the world; from relatively small things like choosing to buy local, obtaining hardware by investing in opensource development projects rather than getting off-the-shelf corporate crap, which political parties we're going to support, and etc right to the really big things like deciding which careers we're going to dedicate our lives energies to ...

We all live in the world, we all change the world simply by existing - every choice we make be it which games console to purchase or what food we eat is a choice that has ramifications and long term effects. We should all aim to be informed consumers that dedicate our time, money and efforts towards things that are part of systems and structures that we believe will help make the world a better place - to do anything else is frankly stupid.
