Nukes are provably way less bad than the scientists are going to say because they are 1.)As true scientists, considering at worst case scenarios, and 2.) As intellectuals, heavily biased against their use, and doing everything they can to convince the rich idiots not to use them.

The messed up reality is that they’re probably way less bad than the scientists say they are, which actually makes them WAY WORSE. MAD (mutual assured destruction) could just be a conspiracy by intellectuals to convince the rich dummies not to use them. The reality might be that they’re just really big fucked up bombs that will fuck up whole cities without global collateral: which is actually the worst case scenario.
