S&P cuts United Kingdom sovereign credit rating to 'AA' from 'AAA'

Elitist? Well maybe. Shiny ipad? Far from it. I'm typing this on a 2011 Toshiba SatellitePro. Do you realise when the country loses money we, the ones paying off student loans and living in shitty flats, are the ones who struggle the most? It must be really hard for those 0.1%'ers losing £100k so they can only go on 1 cruise that year (not that I blame them for having money).

We obviously were not doing amazingly well, we aren't exactly an empire anymore. But if you compare us to 95% of the world we might as well all be royalty in terms of living conditions. People don't see this because they are so locked in to their little complaints. Things are only going to be worse for the next year at least and I doubt we will have achieved much from leaving even after that. I can only hope we do.

Oh, and there are some people who had legitimate reasons to vote out that word benefit them decently, maybe even more than this decline we're dipping into. Even then, they are a relatively small handful compared to the population.
